Why Do I Need To Ship My GMGT Back?
Each and every gold trap is unique having slight differences in measurements.
This is why I don't carry replacement capture trays in stock.
Until I am able to add a cnc router to the lineup of machinery used It's Impossible to build replacements and have them in stock.
Why So Expensive?
This is a tedious process that is time consuming, taking me away from normal routine.
It takes away from my material and shipping inventory normally used for new builds.
As stated above, this is a back engineering process. It is not the way it is done when assembling new GMGT's.
Your new replacement capture tray has to fit snug and the tubes have to line up perfectly.
A process that is not simple with a fully assembled GMGT.
Always Be Sure To,
1- Before replacing the capture tray back into the compartment it comes from, rinse that compartment well to remove grit and stones.
Failing to do so can cause it to come out rough on the following clean out or destroy the foam seal wall.
2- After replacing the capture tray and pin, gently pull it as if your were removing it again.
This seats the pin.
NOTE:
Pollycarbonate is not buoyant but the tubes and pvc board is.
If you should loose your capture tray, look in the tailing. Chances are, it didn't go very far off.
If it came out when it was completely empty it would have a greater chance of floating farther underwater.
